
Petr Pavel won the Czech elections
Pavel confirmed that he is going to visit Ukraine together with his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Chaputova in the spring of 2023.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday held a telephone conversation with the former head of the NATO Military Committee Petr Pavel, who won the presidential election in the Czech Republic, Zelensky himself said on Twitter.
“I personally congratulated Petr Pavel on his victory in the presidential elections in the Czech Republic. I thanked him and the Czech people for their unrelenting support. I invited him to visit Ukraine,” the head of state said.
Earlier, Pavel confirmed that he was going to visit Ukraine together with his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Chaputova in the spring of 2023.
Recall that Petr Pavel received 58.32% of the vote in the second round of the presidential elections in the Czech Republic, while his rival, the Czech billionaire, former prime minister and leader of the ANO party Andrei Babiš, received 41.67%. Petr Pavel will be sworn in and become president of the Czech Republic on March 9, 2023.
