Low-income families who are registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) and workers who receive the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) can now start preparing to receive the next installment of Vale-Gás, which will be paid in February. Vale-Gás is paid to families every two months.
For 2023, the value of the benefit was readjusted due to the Transition PEC, approved by the new federal government. Thus, the value of the Gas Voucher, which previously referred to half of a 13 kg cylinder, will now be equivalent to the total value of a cylinder.
The amounts will be deposited in the digital savings account of the family responsible, which can be accessed through the Caixa Tem app. It is worth mentioning that the installments will be available for withdrawal for up to 120 days, that is, four months after the date indicated in the calendar.
The deposit schedule is based on the last digit of the worker’s Social Identification Number (NIS), printed on the holder’s card. For example, if the NIS ends with the digit 1, in the month of February 2023 the payment will be made from the 13th.

It is important to remember that the payment schedule is the same as the federal government’s income transfer program, which later this year will be renamed Bolsa Família and which also had an adjustment in value on account of the PEC.
Until then, those who are able to receive the aid are families in poverty and extreme poverty, which have pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children and young people between zero and 21 years old in their families. Priority is given to registration in the name of female heads of household.
