Odessite stole 14 Ukrainian flags
In the middle of the night, a man removed 13 state flags from the facades of houses in the Primorsky district, but was caught by the commandant’s patrol.
At night, a 22-year-old inhabitant of Odessa stole 13 state flags from the facades of houses in the Primorsky district in order to sell them at the local market in the morning for 50 hryvnias. This was reported by the GUNP in the Odessa region.
However, the commandant’s patrol prevented the man from realizing his plan – the attacker was exposed in the middle of the city and the stolen property was confiscated from him.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police informed the defendant about the suspicion of theft committed under martial law. This crime is provided for by Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
Recall that earlier in the Kyiv region they reported suspicion to a citizen who tried to steal Banksy graffiti.
To commit the theft, the thief attracted men who did not know about his intentions, whom he assured that he had all the relevant permissions to dismantle the mural.
