New joint exercises with Russia start in Belarus
The events are the next stage of preparation for the Union Shield-2023 exercises, which will be held on Russian territory.
On Tuesday, January 31, the Armed Forces of Belarus begin a joint staff exercise of the Joint Command of the regional group of forces. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the country.
It is noted that within a week, representatives of the military departments of the Russian Federation and Belarus “will work out the issues of joint planning of the use of troops based on the experience of armed conflicts of recent years in the interests of ensuring the security of the Union State.”
The complex of joint operational training measures is aimed at increasing the compatibility of the military command and control bodies of the two states. It is the next stage of preparation for joint exercises Union Shield – 2023which are scheduled on the territory of the Russian Federation in September this year.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Federation transferred new military units to Belarus for training.
It should be reminded that from January 16 to February 1, joint tactical flight exercises with Russia are being held on Belarusian territory.
