Changed booking rules from mobilization
Reserved persons liable for military service are granted a deferment from conscription during mobilization, the period of which cannot exceed six months or the period of mobilization.
Ukraine has introduced a new procedure for booking persons liable for military service, which provides for a deferment from mobilization for 50% or more of civil servants and employees of enterprises important to the country. This follows from the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 76 of January 27, 2023
Reserved persons liable for military service are granted a deferment from conscription for military service on mobilization. However, it cannot exceed:
- the term of mobilization – for those liable for military service, working in state authorities, other state bodies, local governments;
- six months – for persons liable for military service working:
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations that have established mobilization tasks (orders);
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations engaged in the production of goods, performance of work and provision of services necessary to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and other military formations;
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population in a special period.
In state bodies, the number of persons liable for military service, who are subject to reservation and occupy positions, should be 50% of the number of persons liable for military service – with the exception of the leadership.
Enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical to the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population during a special period must book 50% of military service workers, but can do more.
Reservations already granted to an employee under the old procedure will remain valid for the duration for which they were granted.
Recall that a week earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he could not disclose the details of the mobilization processes, but the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief decided to form a reserve of personnel.
