Snow removal in the capital
Residents and guests of the capital were urged not to interfere with the work of special equipment and not to park cars on both sides of the roads.
Public utilities all night removed the snow on the streets of Kyiv. This was announced on January 31 by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.
He noted that in the evening the road workers began to process the streets with anti-icing agents, and at night they removed the snow.
“During the night, 302 units of KK equipment worked Kievautos. At 7 o’clock in the morning, all main and district streets were removed for the safe passage of vehicles,” the mayor said.
Klitschko added that employees of management companies and green construction workers have been cleaning yards and balance areas since the morning.
As specified in the Kyiv city military administration, to combat the consequences of bad weather in the capital, as of 08.20 Tuesday, 95 units of municipal special equipment were taken to the streets.
Snow is removed by more than 3.5 thousand public utilities. Public transport stops, sidewalks, bike paths are intensively treated with de-icing agents.
“Once again, we urge the people of Kiev and guests of the city to be conscious and not interfere with the work of special equipment. Unnecessarily, do not go out onto the streets of Kyiv and do not park cars on both sides of the roads,” they called on the KGVA.
