The commission for the selection of the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has moved to the last competitive stage – interviews. Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna announced this on Facebook the day before.
“We met online with the members of the selection committee for the position of director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal joined the meeting, which indicates the priority of this issue for the government. Accelerating the work of the commission should occur without compromising the quality of the selection process. This is our common position “, – wrote Stefanishina.
According to her, the general desire of the authorities is the election of a professional and respectable director of NABU.
“This is a question of the image of the state and the implementation of our European integration aspirations,” the vice-premier concluded.
Recall, on December 21, the commission for the competition for the position of director of NABU completed the acceptance of documents from candidates. 74 applicants were selected.
And on January 17, it became known that only 22 candidates continue to fight for the position of director of NABU.
The deadlines for the election of the director of NABU were also announced. At the same time, it was noted that it is technically impossible to complete the competition before February 3, when the Ukraine-EU summit is planned.
