The Bosphorus was shrouded in dense fog
Transit ships are not allowed to pass in both directions, as visibility is severely limited in the strait.
Vessel traffic in the Bosphorus is suspended due to thick fog. This was announced on January 31 by the Anadolu agency with reference to the Turkish Coast Guard General Directorate.
It is noted that the movement of ships has been suspended in both directions from 06.38 local time (5.38 Kyiv time).
Recall, on January 16, the Bosphorus Strait was blocked due to a dry cargo ship that ran aground, which followed from Ukraine.
