This Tuesday (31), the Committee to Combat Discrimination of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) informed that it will denounce the volleyball player and Olympic champion Wallace Leandro de Souza for the crime of incitement to violence.
The athlete took over the news after sharing on his Twitter account Instagram last Monday night (30) a question received by a follower in the form of a poll.
In the post, the follower’s question: “Would you shoot Lula in the face with this 12 (shotgun?)” was posted accompanied by another question asked by the player: “Would someone do that?”, with the possibility of answering “yes”. or not”.

No Instagram of the athlete, the content has already been deleted. Wallace has yet to comment on the matter. Already Sada Cruzeiro, the club that the player is signed, regretted in a note “the publication made and its content”. “We live in a delicate moment, in which we need to be very careful with our demonstrations”, said the club.
The complaint made by the Alerj commission against the player will be sent this Tuesday (31) to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in Rio de Janeiro. According to the advice of state deputy Carlos Minc (PSB), chairman of the commission, to the portal G1“there are indications of committing the crime of incitement to violence and threat”.
On his Twitter account, the Minister of the Social Communication Secretariat, Paulo Pimenta, stated that he called the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) to take action on the post.

The Penal Code, in Article 286, describes the crime of incitement to crime, which consists of encouraging or publicly encouraging the commission of a crime. The penalty is imprisonment from 3 to 6 months, in addition to a fine.
