Austria intends to transfer 5 million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of transformer substations
Since military neutrality does not allow Austrian military technicians to help, it will transfer 5 million euros to Ukraine for transformer substations.
Austria intends to transfer 5 million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of transformer substations damaged by Russia. This was stated by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen during a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“Our ministry will also donate 5 million euros for the restoration of transformer substations in Ukraine,” he said.
By the way, Austria helps Ukraine only in the humanitarian sphere, since its military neutrality does not allow it to transfer weapons and military equipment.
Recall that the Federal President of Austria Van der Bellen on Wednesday, February 1, visited Bucha in the Kyiv region.
Earlier, the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry expressed disagreement with the exclusion of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov from the OSCE ministerial meeting in Poland. He said that the West needs to “keep a sense of proportion in its relations with Russia, as it will remain part of European history and culture.”
