The National Bank reported on the amount of private transfers to Ukraine
In its calculations, the National Bank took into account both formal and informal channels for transferring money to Ukraine.
The National Bank of Ukraine reported that the volume of private transfers to Ukraine from abroad in December 2022 amounted to $1.157 billion. This is 10.9% less than a year earlier ($1.299 billion).
It is noted that in total in 2022, Ukraine received $13.073 billion, which is 6.7% less than a year earlier ($14.019 billion).
At the same time, in its calculations, the National Bank took into account both formal and informal channels for transferring money to Ukraine.
Earlier, the NBU improved the forecast for the volume of private transfers to Ukraine in 2022 from $12.6 billion to $13.9 billion. For 2023, the forecast has been raised from $13.1 billion to $16.4 billion. In 2024, $13.8 billion is expected.
As reported, money transfers to Ukraine will become cheaper.
