Timka III predicted the timing of the arrival of spring
Timka did not see his shadow when they took him out of the house. Therefore, spring will come not earlier than in six weeks.
Kharkov groundhog Timka III predicted that spring would not come earlier than in six weeks. Groundhog’s forecast was voiced by his caretaker Vladimir Ronkin. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine on February 2.
It is noted that Timka did not see his shadow when he was taken out of the house, because it was cloudy.
As you know, the groundhog is an inhabitant of the biological station of Kharkiv National University. Karazin in the village Gaidary, Chuguevsky district, Kharkiv region. Groundhog Day has been celebrated there since 2004. The predecessor of Timka III – Timka II – predicted the weather seven times, after which he retired for a well-deserved rest.
Recall that last year Timka III also did not see his shadow. The spring was predicted to be quite unstable with temperature fluctuations.
As reported, moderately cool weather with light sleet will continue over the coming weekend. However, nighttime temperatures will decrease.
