Residents of the region complained about the explosions. The authorities claim that the region was shelled, but “all missiles were shot down.”
Residents of the Bryansk region of Russia on Friday morning, February 3, complained in social networks about the explosions that were heard in the Starodub district. Local authorities announced the “shelling” of this territory. This is stated in the statement of the Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz on his Telegram channel.
The Russian official was quick to assure that all the explosions that were heard in the region were allegedly connected “with the work of the Russian air defense forces.”
“Today at 5 am, a missile strike was recorded on the territory of the Starodubsky municipal district. The air defense system of the Russian Armed Forces repulsed the attack. Four missiles were shot down. There were no casualties or damage. Operational services are working on the spot,” he says.
As we have already reported, the authorities of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions of the Russian Federation on the morning of January 19 announced shelling of settlements, which were allegedly carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, the authorities of the Bryansk and Kursk regions are afraid of a “collision with the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and have begun to install concrete anti-tank barriers.
