The Proletarsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don sentenced 24-year-old Oleg Denisov and 22-year-old Irina Kuznetsova to two years and eight months and two years and seven months in a colony-settlement in the case of setting fire to a car with the letter Z. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office .
They were found guilty under the article on the deliberate destruction of another’s property (Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, in July 2022, Denisov and Kuznetsova set fire to a car on which the letter Z was pasted. The car burned down completely, the total damage amounted to more than 700 thousand rubles, the prosecutor’s office says. The Russian Interior Ministry reported on the arrest of those suspected of setting fire to a car in mid-August. The department claimed that the young people acted on an “order” from a certain Telegram channel, which was “controlled from the territory of Ukraine by adherents of neo-Nazi ideology,” and allegedly received 15,000 rubles in cryptocurrency for arson. However, the press service of the prosecutor’s office said nothing about this.
