Russian invaders massively burn Ukrainian literature in boiler houses in the occupied territories.
Russian invaders seize Ukrainian books in the temporarily occupied territories and burn them in boiler houses. This was reported at the Center for National Resistance (CNS) on Sunday, February 5.
“In Rovenky (Luhansk region), cases of mass burning of Ukrainian literature in local boiler houses were recorded,” the report said.
The CNS added that books are being withdrawn from general funds and school libraries.
The Russians borrowed the practice of burning books from Nazi Germany, according to the Center.
“At the same time, the Russians justify this by saying that they are seizing ‘Nazi’ literature, and all Ukrainian books are included in the list of such literature,” the CNS summarized.
It should be noted that in the Zaporozhye region, Russians place not only personnel, but also ammunition in the premises of abandoned educational institutions.
We add that, according to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, since the beginning of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the Russians have destroyed 406 educational institutions, and also damaged more than 2.6 thousand schools.
