The campaign to raise funds for the purchase of air defense will last until February 24
The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry noted that the Lithuanians managed to collect more than six million euros in the shortest possible time.
Residents of Lithuania raised six million euros in a week to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. This amount already exceeds by one million euros the previously planned minimum amount of five million euros. About it informed Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis on Twitter on Sunday, February 5.
“There are only three million people in Lithuania, but this week we raised six million euros to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. This shows that there are no signs of fatigue. We will be with Ukraine until victory,” the Lithuanian official said.
As of the evening of February 5, 6,039,455 euros have been collected, according to the campaign website By radar!,
Promotion Radarom! started on January 30th and will run until February 24th.
At the beginning of the campaign, the goal was to raise five million euros for the purchase of multifunctional tactical radars for monitoring airspace near critical infrastructure.
However, the minimum amount and even more was collected in the shortest possible time – a week later.
Recall, earlier it was reported that Lithuania managed to close the minimum collection plan for air defense radars for Ukraine: over 5.3 million euros were collected there.
In addition, mortar groups of the Ukrainian military were prepared in Lithuania.
