Reznikov met with UAV manufacturers
One of the key areas of the Ministry of Defense is the development and support of the Ukrainian drone market.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov met with more than 100 Ukrainian UAV developers and manufacturers and discussed with them the needs and demands of the Ukrainian army. This was announced on Saturday, February 4, by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Reznikov stressed that now it is very important to support the Ukrainian market of unmanned aerial vehicles, in particular drones with a wide range of applications – air-ground-water.
“This is about adjusting artillery, and about defeating the enemy (shock drones), and about delivering unmanned vehicles, evacuating the wounded, and the like,” Reznikov explained.
He stressed that the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are measured in hundreds of thousands of drones of various modifications.
“The work to meet these needs continues, in particular, more UAVs were allowed to operate during the 8 months of a full-scale war than over the past 5 years,” the minister said.
He added that the independence of the military-industrial complex is a factor in the country’s defense capability. And today, one of the key areas of the Ministry of Defense is the development and support of the Ukrainian drone market.
Earlier it was reported that the American manufacturer wants to sell Reaper drones to Kyiv for a dollar.
