Generators sent to Odessa
About 280 thousand consumers are left without power supply, powerful generators have been sent to the city.
In Odessa and the Odessa region, up to 40% of consumers (280,000) remain without power supply, there are emergency shutdowns. This was announced on February 5 by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal following a meeting with the regional military administration.
“During the evening and night, it was possible to resume the supply of light to more than 200 thousand subscribers and critical infrastructure. In fact, 90% of centralized supply boiler houses have already been launched, work is underway to connect local boiler houses to generators. Repairs are being carried out around the clock at the substation, where a technological accident occurred the day before,” – noted the head of government.
He added that powerful generators are being sent to the city to help power critical infrastructure and connect more consumers to electricity.
“The situation is complicated. We are working 24/7 to solve it as soon as possible and return light to people’s homes. We will stand. We will overcome. We will win,” the prime minister stressed.
As DTEK clarified, today the power is enough to supply household consumers in Odessa and the Odessa region with light every two hours after eight hours without electricity.
Recall that on the eve of Odessa was left without electricity due to a complex technological accident.
IN Ukrenergo stated that hourly shutdowns will operate from 16.00 to 20.00 in all regions of the country, except for Kyiv and Odessa, where the situation is more complicated.
