Grossi will come to Russia soon
The talks will discuss the security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi will visit Moscow this week. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, TASS reports on Monday, February 6.
“The visit is in the process of finalizing the agreement, but I can confirm that it will be this week. Grossi will arrive in Moscow. The schedule has not yet been finalized, but everything indicates that this visit will take place, and we expect as always, to a deep and professional conversation. Discussing the security zone around the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, “this is the key issue, yes,” the Russian diplomat told reporters, answering a relevant question.
Recall, on January 27, the IAEA recorded explosions near the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Then the IAEA Director General noted that signs of hostilities near the Zaporizhzhya NPP indicate the vital importance of the speedy coordination and implementation of a nuclear safety and protection zone around the plant.
