The daughter of the chief designer of the aircraft engine scientific and technical complex (ANTK) “Soyuz” Mkrtich Okroyan Anna owns a mansion in the UK, and Okroyan himself and his wife have a business in Poland. This is stated in the investigation of the Navalny team.
“The mansion was bought in 2020 for almost six million pounds, in terms of rubles, this is half a billion rubles. Its only owner is Okroyan Anna Mkrtichevna,” the investigators say.
The chief designer of ASTC “Soyuz”, as well as his wife, are residents of the UK. They also, according to the investigation, have a business in Poland.
In addition, Okroyan’s wife, Alla Baban, and his son Andranik, according to Navalny’s associates, are shareholders of a foundry and mechanical plant in Balashikha, and Okroyan himself is on the board of directors of the plant. This plant has already been sanctioned for producing materials and parts that are used in the production of Russian military equipment, including for the Ka-52 combat helicopter.
Navalny’s associates emphasize that neither Okroyan himself nor the Soyuz ASTC have yet been sanctioned. Although it is this enterprise, the investigators emphasize, that developed engines for the Kh-22, Kh-59 anti-ship missiles and Kalibr cruise missiles, with which Russian troops fire at peaceful cities in Ukraine.
