Soldiers of the State Border Guard Service, together with the Defense Forces of Ukraine, defeated a unit of Russian invaders in the Bakhmut direction.
Soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SFSU) repelled a long assault on the Russian occupation troops in the vicinity of the fortress city of Bakhmut. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service on Wednesday, February 8.
“In the positional struggle, the border guards created favorable conditions for a counterattack, which, with the support of artillery and mortars, was carried out together with brothers from the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report says.
The State Border Service also noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces forced the enemy to hide from their positions with fire from small arms and group weapons.
“At least 12 invaders were liquidated during the counteroffensive, 16 were wounded,” the State Border Guard Service noted.
Recall that on February 7, Ukrainian border guards shot down a Russian Su-25 in the sky over Bakhmut.
