Sunak and Zelensky
The Ukrainian president said that during his visit to London, he managed to agree on a powerful amount of armored vehicles, the supply of long-range weapons and agree on the training of Ukrainian pilots.
Britain will give Ukraine a major new military aid package that will send a clear signal that the states are moving together towards victory. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with media representatives at the Bovington Camp military base on Wednesday, February 8.
“We agreed on a powerful amount of armored vehicles, the supply of long-range weapons and agreed to start training Ukrainian pilots,” the head of state said.
Zelensky believes that this is a clear signal from Ukraine and the UK that the states are not only moving together, but are going through the entire difficult path to a common victory.
Recall, Rishi Sunak said that Ukraine will receive the first Challenger tanks in March. Delivery of British fighter jets to Kyiv is also possible.
As reported, on Wednesday Zelensky paid a visit to the UK, where he met with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as with King Charles III.
