The service for issuing the Electronic Travel Authorization (AEV) is now available on the internet for children and adolescents up to 16 years of age to travel abroad unaccompanied by at least one of their guardians. Until this week, the issuance of the document online it was only allowed for domestic trips.
To issue the document, parents or guardians must access the e-Notarial platform and make the request, filling in the requested information. At the end of the process, a procedure will be carried out for the signature recognition by videoconference. The whole process is free.
After completing all the steps, the parents or guardians will receive a digital document to be validated at the counter of the airline the child or adolescent will be traveling on. The document can be presented on the cell phone or on paper.
The duration of the document is determined by the applicants themselves, according to the expected time for the trip. Once issued, the AEV will be available to be accessed from anywhere in the world.
It is important to highlight that to request the document over the internet, you must have a digital certificate, which can also be issued free of charge by e-Notary.
