The UK government will explore the possibility of accelerated training of Ukrainian pilots on modern Western fighters. This was stated by the press secretary of the British Prime Minister, reports The Guardian on Thursday, February 9.
“The UK will look into whether there is a way to adapt our training to speed up the process (training Ukrainian pilots – ed.). However, the fact remains that fighter jets are incredibly sophisticated equipment,” he said.
According to him, fighter jets are not the only option in terms of military assistance. Britain will consider all supply options “to make sure it supports Ukraine in the best possible way.”
Recall, according to Rishi Sunak, Ukraine will receive the first Challenger tanks in March. Delivery of British fighter jets to Kyiv is also possible.
