The participants of the ninth meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine will focus on a specific discussion of the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the speaker of the US Department of Defense General Patrick Ryder, Ukrinform reports.
“Next week’s discussions (in the Ramstein format – ed.) will focus on Ukraine’s most pressing security needs, especially as the anniversary of Russia’s illegal invasion approaches,” a Pentagon spokesman said.
He stressed that an analysis of the progress made is expected, as well as “very substantive” discussions on what needs to be done to help Ukraine in the future.
At the same time, Ryder noted that he had no official announcements regarding the possible supply of American aircraft to Ukraine. However, according to him, the United States will continue to closely consult with the Ukrainians, international allies and partners to determine the most pressing security needs.
The Pentagon spokesman stressed that Rammstein 9 participants will work very hard to ensure that the Ukrainians are equipped to succeed on the battlefield.
