Therefore, the United States and other allied and partner countries have increased military aid to Ukraine in recent weeks, which includes more sophisticated combat capabilities for fighting in open areas. The administration spokesman stressed that this is necessary “to help them (Ukrainians – ed.) prepare for what the Russians may be planning in the spring.”
Kirby also voiced a prediction that as weather conditions improve, “fighting is likely to get more violent.”
