President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, February 11, included in the NSDC of Ukraine the leaders of the SBU – Vasily Malyuk and the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Igor Klymenko. This is evidenced by the relevant decree No. 73/2023 of the head of state.
“Introduce Igor Vladimirovich Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, into the personal composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the text of the document says.
In addition, the membership in the National Security and Defense Council of the deceased Denis Monastyrsky was terminated.
Malyuk Vasily Vasilyevich, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, was also approved as part of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
As you know, Igor Klymenko, who acted as head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after the death of Denis Monastyrsky, was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs.
Let’s add, on January 18, a helicopter with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs crashed in the city of Brovary. All nine people on board were killed, among whom was Minister Denis Monastyrsky.
On the same day, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Klimenko deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and entrusted him with the duties of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
