Hackers attacked NATO sites
Pro-Russian cybercriminals, according to media reports, attacked the website of the NATO Special Operations Forces Headquarters (NSHQ). The attack was blamed, in particular, on the Russian hacker group Killnet.
NATO websites have become the target of a hacker attack. On Sunday, February 12, DW reports with reference to the statement of the speaker of the Alliance.
For example, a NATO spokeswoman said that the defense alliance’s cyber experts are actively investigating the incident, which affected several websites. NATO did not provide any details about the incident. The speaker of the alliance stated that the alliance regularly deals with cyber incidents and takes the issue of cyber security very seriously.
At the same time, according to dpa, earlier information appeared on Twitter that pro-Russian cybercriminals attacked the website of the NATO Special Operations Forces Headquarters (NSHQ), after which it was unavailable for some time. The attack was blamed, in particular, on the Russian hacker group Killnet. It is associated with cyber attacks on the websites of the Bundestag, the police and critical infrastructure in Germany.
We will remind, earlier in Canada it was stated that the Russian Federation is preparing a big cyber attack on Ukraine’s allies.
