No blackouts scheduled for Monday
On February 13, there will be no blackouts in most areas. The state of the power system has recently improved.
In most regions of Ukraine on Monday, February 13, power outages are not planned. The head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky announced this on the air of the telethon.
He noted that most consumers spent the weekend without power outages. Local restrictions affected only areas where, due to damage to the networks, it was physically impossible to deliver 100% of the required electricity.
“On February 13, we also do not predict a shortage of capacities in the energy system. And we predict that there will be no outages in most areas,” Kudritsky said.
According to him, now the state of the energy system is better than it was recently.
“And I can even say that, judging by the pace of recovery, it is now faster than the pace of destruction. Despite this, everything can change, so let’s not relax in advance,” he added.
At the same time, Kudritsky predicted that if everything continues as it is now, the situation will change for the better.
Earlier, Ukrenergo announced that there was no capacity shortage. However, when demand increases, emergency shutdowns can be applied.
Recall that on the evening of February 10, the Ukrainian military destroyed 20 Shahed-136/131 strike drones, which were launched by Russian aggressors. At the same time, damage was reported to three power facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
