With the slogan “piso no pocket, now”, nursing professionals from Belo Horizonte took to the streets of the city on the morning of this Tuesday (14). The demonstration, which is part of the national strike of the category for compliance with the Salary Floor Law, approved last year, brought together hundreds of male and female workers.
After clashes in the National Congress and several mobilizations of the category, Law 14,434/22 established the floor of BRL 4,750 for nursing, BRL 3,325 for nursing technicians and BRL 2,375 for nursing assistants and midwives. Now, professionals claim the guarantee of the right.
“It is already law and there has already been a change in the Federal Constitution. Now, we need mayors and bosses to speed up”, commented the family and community doctor, and councilor of Belo Horizonte Bruno Pedralva (PT), during the march.
