Reznikov summed up the results of the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine
The head of the Defense Ministry pointed out that 54 representatives of world countries participated in Ramstein-9, which indicates that “the anti-Kremlin coalition is growing.” Reznikov noted that all participating countries expressed their readiness to support Ukraine until victory.
According to him, the partner countries understand that the victory of Russia will mean the triumph of evil, therefore, for the sake of the future peace and the global security structure, they intend to help Ukraine win this war. The minister noted that the “key word” that sounded during the meeting was “the unity of all around Ukraine for the sake of Ukraine’s victory” and Jens Stoltenberg’s quote “speed saves lives.”
Eight countries will give Ukraine Leopard
Eight countries will supply Ukraine with German-made Leopard tanks. Several other countries are working on the supply of ammunition. The United States, Germany, the Netherlands will supply Ukraine with American-made Patriot air defense systems. France and Italy pledged to provide French-Italian SAMP / T air defense systems.
Partner countries will help Ukraine go on the offensive
Western partner countries will continue to support Ukraine in the war with Russia and help launch a counteroffensive this spring. This was stated by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, opening a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format.
The head of the Pentagon recalled that at the beginning of the month, the United States announced regular military assistance to Ukraine, including the allocation of HIMARS systems and ammunition, anti-tank shells. In addition, $1.75 billion was allocated to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine. Austin also said that the members of the Contact Group decided to provide Ukraine with Bradley and Abrams from the USA, Challenger tanks from the UK, also modernized tanks from the USA, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, and T-72 tanks from Poland.
Personnel appointments were made in the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Oleksandr Pavliuk as Deputy Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov. Also today, the government appointed deputy ministers of internal affairs and state secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In particular, the Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Pavlyuk, was appointed to the post of First Deputy Minister of Defense. Igor Klimenko has five deputies. Inna Yashchuk has been appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

European Parliament approves zero carbon emissions for new cars and trucks by 2035
The European Parliament in its plenary session voted on the goal of zero CO2 emissions for new cars and light trucks until 2035, the agency said.
