Graham Potter is disappointed with the result of the game with Borussia
Graham Potter commented on the away defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.
Graham Potter considers the defeat of his team in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund undeserved.
According to the head coach of Chelsea, his wards simply did not have enough luck in the match, because before conceding, the Londoners had every chance to excel at the opponent’s goal.
The specialist also reminded that there are a lot of newcomers in the team and it is just starting to build.
“In the case of the goal, there was a counter-attack after a corner. We were close to scoring ourselves.
We showed a solid game, especially in the second half. We created many chances, shot on goal, but, to my regret, conceded. I think we dominated the second half. Now there is a break in our confrontation and we need to regroup.
Everything can be judged by the reaction of the fans. They are positive, they see the game of the team and they take it great. Our team is still being built, and we know that there is a lot of good ahead. It always takes a bit of luck, and that’s how you keep working. The guys are working fantastically hard, but now we are going through a difficult period,” Potter was quoted as saying by UEFA’s official website.
Recall that Chelsea minimally lost to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. The return match between the teams will take place in London on March 7.
