The attack on the tanker Campo Square involved Iranian ships and kamikaze drones. Nearby third-country ships were also affected.
The oil tanker Campo Square was attacked in the Arabian Sea. According to preliminary data, Iranian ships and kamikaze drones participated in the attack, the BBC Persian service reports.
It is noted that the Campo Square tanker sails under the flag of Liberia and is owned by the Zodiac company, owned by members of the Ofer family from Israel.
According to the BBC, the tanker was attacked in the Arabian Sea on February 10, and Iranian ships were involved in the attack.
Campo Square was damaged during the attack and headed for the nearest port for inspection and repairs.
According to the media of Saudi Arabia, during the attack on the tanker, the ships next to it were also damaged, one of them belongs to the United Arab Emirates. Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones were allegedly used for the attack.
This is the third Zodiac ship to be attacked in the past two years.
Recall that in November last year off the coast of Oman, a drone with explosives also attacked an Israeli tanker of the Ofer family.
