A resident of the Kherson region was seriously injured while trying to dismantle an unexploded ordnance. This was announced by the regional military administration in the Telegram channel on Sunday, February 19.
The tragedy occurred in the village of Novovoskresenskoye, Berislavsky district. A 60-year-old man tried to dismantle an unexploded shell with his own hands. It detonated and exploded in the hands of a local resident.
The victim’s right arm was torn off, he also received multiple shrapnel wounds to the abdomen and thighs.
The man was taken to the nearest hospital in critical condition. The doctors are fighting for his life.
