
Rinat Akhmetov sent billions of hryvnias to help the army and the affected Ukrainians
Capital investments over the past year exceeded UAH 21 billion. Most of these funds are the repair of electrical networks, the re-equipment of thermal power plants, the drilling of wells, the opening of new longwalls and to support the Ukrainian energy sector.
According to the results of 2022, the enterprises of the SCM investment group sent UAH 73.2 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels. This was reported by the press service of the group on Monday, January 20.
“Capital investments over the past year reached UAH 21.1 billion. Most of these funds are the overhaul of power grids, the re-equipment of power units of thermal power plants, the drilling of oil and gas wells, the opening of new longwalls, etc. to support Ukraine’s energy sector,” the message says.
The SCM clarified that out of the total amount of taxes, more than 62 billion hryvnias were paid to the state budget, deductions to local budgets amounted to 11.2 billion hryvnias.
“11.8 billion hryvnias were spent on social programs. The largest expenses were programs for residents of the regions of presence and environmental protection,” businessman Rinat Akhmetov’s company added.
The SCM also recalled that earlier Akhmetov allocated 1 billion hryvnia for a project to help the defenders of Mariupol and their families.
