“We have provided the sixth military assistance package to Ukraine, which mainly focuses on air defense to protect civilian infrastructure … We have worked hard on this together with France to quickly connect our technologies. SAMP-T air defense systems are very important, but in the new The aid package also includes other air defense systems – Skyguard and Spike,” she said.
The head of the Italian government noted that the strategic goal is to protect Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
Italy also plans to help Ukraine clear mines, she added.
In addition, during her visit, generators were handed over to Ukraine.
Zelensky called the sixth aid package from Italy “powerful”.
“SAMP-T is a very serious technology, we have been working on it for a long time, and the prime minister’s personal leadership made it possible for us to get these systems. In Italy, it was previously announced that Georgia Meloni would announce the delivery of SAMP-T air defense systems during her visit to Kyiv.
