The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, reported “on the actual intentions of the occupier.”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in an expanded format and listened in detail to the reports of the military. What was discussed at the meeting, on Wednesday, February 23, he said in a video message.
“Zaluzhny, Syrsky, Tarnavsky, Moskalev, Naev. The situation in the main directions: the east is very difficult, painful, but we are doing everything to survive; the south – in some directions the situation is quite dangerous, but our soldiers have something and how to respond to the occupier. Odessa and the Black Sea space – we control the situation. North – all our soldiers in this direction see every intention of the enemy, where necessary – we are strengthening,” Zelensky said.
Also at the meeting, an intelligence report on the current intentions of the Russian occupiers was heard.
“There is also a solution to our counteraction,” the President noted.
Separately, at the meeting of the Headquarters, the issue of the production and supply of ammunition and weapons was considered.
“Of course, I cannot publicly disclose details on this matter. But this is a meaningful work. I am glad to hear at Headquarters that even in such conditions we have the appropriate potential,” Zelensky said.
Earlier, Zelensky said that the de-occupation of Crimea is the only way to establish a “normal peace” in Ukraine and Europe.
On the eve it became known about the huge losses of PMC Wagner near Bakhmut. The head of this group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, showed many corpses and specified that this was just one of the gathering places for the dead.
