
Apple manufacturers want to exit China
AirPods manufacturer GoerTek, like many other manufacturers, is exploring countries outside of China, which today produces the bulk of gadgets.
The AirPods maker has said that Apple’s suppliers want to leave China to prevent the consequences of escalating tensions between the US and China. It is reported by Bloomberg.

“GoerTek is investing an initial $280 million in a new plant in Vietnam, and is also considering an expansion in India,” said Deputy CEO Kazuyoshi Yoshinaga.
According to the publication, 9 out of 10 of Apple’s most important suppliers may be preparing large-scale moves from China, for example, to India. But Bloomberg Intelligence estimates that it could take about eight years to move only 10% of Apple’s capacity outside of China, although the GoerTek chief says it will be much faster.
