In Uzbekistan, the singer Kaniz (Shakhrizoda Akhmedova) was deprived of her license for a month for “immoral” videos from her performance in flesh-colored trousers. The Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Bakhodir Ahmedov informed the Dare edition about this.
After performing at the wedding in flesh-colored trousers, a white shirt and a black leather jacket, users criticized the singer. Some YouTube channels wrote that the artist performed “without pants.”
“The council members unanimously approved the decision to revoke Kaniza Akhmedova’s license. She was given a serious warning. If she “gets back to normal” within a month, she will be able to reapply for a license. To be honest, I wonder why this girl did this. Why “Does she need such things? She is a sane, intelligent, highly educated person. If she corrects mistakes within a month, she will correct them, if not, then more serious measures will be taken. It will be good if other artists draw conclusions,” Bakhodir Akhmedov said.
The singer criticized the state enterprise “Uzbekconcert” and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. “Uzbekconcert” used to be called “Uzbeknavo”. On each of your assignments, we ran and served you in the villages and dusty fields. Have you ever said thank you? You can’t even talk about the award, she said. – I served the people for free on your behalf. I know, I (performed) for free, but people paid money, and they went into another pocket.”
“Why do those who fill concert halls and give a concert for 3000-4000 people for two hours with obscene words have a license in order? Why do those who openly dress both on social networks and (during performances) have a license in order “Because they have strong (‘support’)? In what industry do we have justice? Everyone knows that even awards are given to those who have ‘support’ and money, but no one can say anything,” she added.
Kaniza said that she intends to meet with the Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov and the leadership of Uzbekconcert together with a lawyer and independent journalists. According to her, she is ready to sit until the evening, until officials accept her: “Not in order to return her license, but to speak the truth and listen to them.”
In June 2017, the Uzbek authorities officially banned local singers from performing remakes of foreign songs, that is, re-singing Russian, Arabic, Turkish and Iranian songs in Uzbek.
In February 2016, Uzbeknavo, a variety association of Uzbekistan, revoked the license of the singer Tamila (Esmeralda Rakhmatova) due to a “shameless video” with her participation that appeared on the Internet.
In November 2018, Uzbekconcert banned the singer Shahlo Akhmedova from performing concert activities due to the fact that the video for the song “Summer Rains” “too frankly” shows the relationship “between a guy and a girl that does not correspond to the national mentality, national values and Eastern morality “. In the video, the singer dances in the streets along with passers-by, as well as in front of a young man.
