The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA) announced, this Monday (27), the names of the presidents of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), the National Supply Company (Conab) and the Entrepostos Company. and General Warehouses of São Paulo (Ceagesp).
For Incra, the government confirmed the name of César Aldrighi, who has been at the head of the agency on an interim basis since January. He graduated from the Federal University of Pelotas, has a specialization in agronomic engineering and has been a career employee at Incra since 2004. The engineer was also the state secretary of Agriculture and Supply of the government of Rio Grande do Sul between 2001 and 2002.
Still at Incra, Rose Rodrigues, university professor, lawyer and social worker, will be the Director of Development; Gustavo Souto de Noronha, Director of Strategic Management; João Pedro Gonçalves da Costa, Director of Land Governance, and Maria Rita Reis, Specialized Federal Attorney.
At Conab, it was public since the beginning of January that state deputy Edegar Pretto (PT-RS), who ran for the government of Rio Grande do Sul on behalf of the PT, would assume the presidency of the state-owned company. According to the government, the delay occurred “due to legal procedures, in particular the state-owned law, the appointment process only started on January 24, when an MP came into force that restructured the federal government and linked the Company to the MDA “.
Edegar Pretto’s nomination to take over Conab came from President Lula (PT) and is part of a context of resuming agrarian public policies that help strengthen family farming. The segment was severely affected by the agenda of the Temer (MDB) and Bolsonaro (PL) governments, both with a strong neoliberal character and focused primarily on large agribusiness, a branch linked to the political power of the ruralist group, formally known as the Agricultural Parliamentary Front (FPA). .
At Ceagesp, the MDA confirmed the name of Jamil Yatim as CEO. The president of the state-owned company is linked to the PT of Jundiaí and has already held the position of financial director of Ceagesp in the Dilma government. Hamilton Ribeiro Mota will be the warehouse’s Administrative and Financial director and José Lourenço Pechtoll will be the Technical and Operational director, all of whom are in the process of being appointed.
