On Tuesday, February 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the termination of the treaties concluded within the framework of the Council of Europe with respect to the Russian Federation. The corresponding document is published on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.
The law, the draft of which Putin submitted to the Russian parliament in January 2023, recognizes 21 international treaties as invalid in relation to Russia from March 16, 2022.
