Acting mayor of Zaporozhye Anatoly Kurtev said that since the beginning of the war, nine multi-storey buildings have been destroyed in Zaporozhye. Therefore, there is nowhere in the city to resettle people who have lost their homes due to Russian missile strikes. He said this on the air of the national telethon.
“There is a big problem regarding the temporary settlement of people, because this is the ninth multi-storey building that has been destroyed, and people need to live somewhere,” he said.
According to Kurtev, more than 200,000 IDPs live in Zaporozhye.
It is noted that the City Council has already turned to international partners to create hubs for temporary residence. Destroyed and damaged housing is planned to be restored.
Recall that at night the Russian military attacked Zaporozhye. As a result of the shelling, a multi-storey building was damaged. Three people were killed, there are wounded. Rescue work continues.
