Law enforcement officers detained a resident of Krivoy Rog. He is accused of issuing loans for missing servicemen. This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General on Friday, March 3.
A probable attacker obtained the personal data of the military APU, who went missing during a combat mission on the line of confrontation. He issued a loan in the name of the military, using electronic computers and a duplicate SIM card.
After that, the suspect transferred the funds to his bank accounts and paid several times through the terminals.
The man arranged cash loans in this way, using the data of about 20 missing military men. The total amount of loans is more than two million hryvnia.
Computer equipment, mobile phones, SIM cards of mobile operators, bank cards and cash, as well as a grenade were confiscated from the defendant.
The man was detained, he was informed about the suspicion of fraud and illegal handling of ammunition, and a petition was sent to the court for a preventive measure.
Earlier, the Office of the Prosecutor General informed that the head of the enterprise, who was convicted of supplying low-quality products for the military, was suspected of misappropriating funds on an especially large scale.
