The German arms concern Rheinmetall intends to build a tank plant in Ukraine. Negotiations are already underway about this. The plant will be able to produce up to 400 Panther tanks per year. The head of the company, Armin Papperger, said that the plant can be protected from Russian air raids, and this “protection by air defense will not be difficult.”
Zelensky met with the head of the European Parliament
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met in Lviv with the head of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. He noted that Ukraine strives to complete the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission as soon as possible and start negotiations on joining the EU this year. In turn, Metsola also expressed her hope that negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU will begin as soon as possible – this year. The Ministry of Energy estimated the end of the heating season
Ukraine is ending the heating season with a surplus of power and sufficient gas and coal reserves. This was stated by Energy Minister German Galushchenko. “We are coming out of a difficult winter fully provided with fuel – as of February 3, coal reserves in the warehouses of thermal power plants and thermal power plants amount to 1,160 thousand tons. This is 375 thousand tons more than on the same date last year,” Galushchenko said.

Britain to give Ukraine twice as many Challenger 2 tanks – ambassador

He noted that Ukraine requested 14 Challenger 2 tanks from Britain, but after the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky, it became known that their number would double.
Commander of the SOF visited Bakhmut
