The Servant of the People parliamentary faction will appeal to President Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to award the title of Hero of Ukraine to a Ukrainian soldier shot by Russians. This was announced on Monday, March 6, by the chairman of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia in Telegram.
“The next war crime of the Russian Federation was the execution of an unarmed soldier, whose last words were” Glory to Ukraine! “The occupiers themselves filmed this cruel massacre …”, Arakhamia wrote.
He noted that the terrorist state that is Russia must be punished for its war crimes, crimes against humanity and acts of genocide committed against the Ukrainian people.
“After establishing all the circumstances and identifying the deceased, the faction intends to send an appeal to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to award the soldier the title of Hero of Ukraine (posthumously). His feat is an expression of the invincibility of the people and the Ukrainian army,” Arakhamia added.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the killers of the Ukrainian prisoner of war would be found, and the country would always hear: “Glory to Ukraine!”
