On the morning of this Friday (10), nursing professionals held an event at Praça José Alencar, in Fortaleza, demanding the federal, state and municipal governments and the Federal Supreme Court to reach an agreement on the sources of funding for the nursing floor. The action involved the mobilization of the Union of Civil Servants and Public Employees of the Municipality of Fortaleza (Sindifort) and other union entities.
From early on, there are tents set up in Praça José de Alencar, where the act takes place. On site are also being offered service provision to the population, such as blood pressure measurement.
“Since it is a popular square, where there is a population, there is a lot of traffic, we wanted to show these professionals, this fight, the need these professionals have to be recognized and say that we are fighting, for a floor that we have been fighting for 30 years. people have been fighting, and now, we’ve come so close. It was necessary to come to a public square where there is a lot of movement so that the population could share with us the importance of the floor for these workers and nursing professionals”, says Regina Cláudia Neri de Paula, Sindifort health sector director and nursing technician.
Early in the morning, Agefis and the Municipal Guard tried to dismantle the structure of the act, but after dialogue and with the firm resistance of the servers, the act proceeded peacefully. “They arrived wanting to remove the structure saying that no one could use the square, because we were going to deprecate the square, that we would end up with the square. . When they arrived, they wanted to remove the structure and already came with the municipal guard, but we had the interference of two councilors, councilor Ana Paula and councilor Ronivaldo Maia, who came here to intercede with us and also some people from the management had to go back”, explains Regina Cláidia.

On its social networks, Sindifort informs that on March 15, the ministers that make up the interministerial group, responsible for the provisional measure with funding sources for the nursing salary floor, were invited to a Public Hearing at the National Congress. On March 29, a public act will be held in Brasilia, demanding the minimum salary for nursing, but the place and time are still being defined.
The beneficiaries of the Nursing Salary Floor Law (nº 14,434) are nurses, with R$ 4,750; nursing technicians with 70% of this salary and assistants and midwives with 50% of the initial value.
