The Ukrainian documentary “Borscht. The Secret Ingredient” with chef Evgeny Klopotenko will be released on the Netflix streaming service. This was announced on Friday, March 10, by Klopotenko on Instagram.
In the film, Klopotenko travels to different regions of Ukraine and explores the traditional dish – borscht, as well as looking for its “secret ingredients”.
The heroes of the film cook the dish in different places in Ukraine: in a military field kitchen, in a Hutsul village, in the canteen of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, in a Lviv restaurant and in a beekeeper’s house near the border with Belarus.

Earlier it was reported that the culture of cooking Ukrainian borscht was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO.
