Then, there will be the election of the President of Alesp and the Board of Directors. Majority in this legislature, with 19 deputies, the Liberal Party (PL) should be in charge of the House. André do Prado (PL) is the favorite for the presidential election and may have more than 80 votes.

The other candidate in the running for the presidency of Alesp is Carlos Giannazi (PSOL). In an interview with Brazil in factthe deputy lamented the broad consortium that should elect Prado and guarantee a peaceful legislature for Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
“There will be a continuation of the Legislative Assembly, passively submissive and having this characteristic that I have known for a long time: doing a little pull from the Palácio dos Bandeirantes. So just ratify it, because Tarcísio will have the majority. So it (Alesp) will not have independence, autonomy, it will continue not investigating cases of corruption involving the government, as it has already happened”, says Gianazzi.
