In an interview with the newspaper Newspaper this Thursday (16), state deputy André do Prado (PL), president of the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp), said that he will need “Job’s patience” to deal with women and black parliamentarians.
Asked how he intends to deal with the bench of women and blacks, Prado added: “My patience will be that of Job, to listen, to wait. I’m in no hurry, we have time. I’m not going to run over anything. I have to respect it, because it’s the voice of society represented through these deputies. I can never silence any deputy.”

Prado also signaled that the PL of São Paulo may have its own candidacy for the City of São Paulo, in 2024. Federal deputy Ricardo Salles (PL-SP) has already announced that he intends to run for office.
“We have to think about the following within the party: when a name like that has the courage to make his name available, we have to assess whether his name is viable. He is a very prepared person, he has already demonstrated that he has the capacity It is a name that has the right to claim this. At the right time, the party will meet to define the best strategy here for São Paulo”, said the president of Alesp.
Also according to the state deputy, his party should remain on the side of Palácio dos Bandeirantes, which should guarantee peace of mind for Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) to govern.

“The PL will be the base of the Tarcísio government, the main party of the base, due to the number of deputies that our bench has. The governor, knowing my history, realized that I will be a president who will work for everyone and will have good sense to make projects of the Executive can proceed more quickly in the House to be approved”, he concluded.
André do Prado was elected president of Alesp last Wednesday (15), with the vote of 89 of the 94 state deputies in the House.
