Ukrainian defenders have been resisting the enemy for 386 days
The Russian army continues to attempt an offensive in five directions and fires at peaceful settlements in Ukraine.
The Russian Federation does not abandon its intentions to occupy Ukraine and continues to conduct offensive operations, regardless of losses. The enemy is concentrating the main efforts on the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on March 16.
It is emphasized that over the past day the enemy made more than 75 attacks.
On the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation is without significant changes, the formation of enemy offensive groupings has not been identified. At the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus, units of the Russian occupation troops are being trained. Also, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas.
In the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Gryanikovka, Belogorovka and Disputed.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not abandon attempts to storm the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repulsed numerous enemy attacks in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Bogdanovka settlements.
On the Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Mining directions, the invaders carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of the settlements of Stepnoye, Kamenka, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Netaylovo, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye, Maryinka and Ugledar. On the indicated sector of the front, over the past day, most of the attacks were recorded in the Maryinka area – 12, all of them were repulsed.
In the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is conducting defensive operations.
In all these directions, the Russian army fired on peaceful cities and villages. Over the past day, the enemy launched three missile strikes, including on the civilian infrastructure of Kharkov. He also carried out 29 air strikes and 79 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
“The probability of further enemy strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high,” the General Staff stressed.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation has inflicted 16 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. An enemy Su-25 aircraft and 13 drones were shot down.
Missile troops and artillery units hit the command post, three enemy personnel and military equipment concentration areas, as well as two radar stations, an electronic warfare station and an anti-aircraft missile system at a firing position.
Recall, as of March 15, since the beginning of the war, the Russian Federation has lost 160,540 soldiers in Ukraine, as well as 3,484 tanks, 304 aircraft and 289 helicopters.
